Written reflection

Using Charcoal (Conte A)

I feel like I've improved on my proportions and how fast I drew the model in a minute. What I found difficult was keeping the composition in order to tell the story. I would like to work more on facial detail in the future.

Using Marker (Fine Nip)

The marker became easier to draw since I did not have to worry able breaking the used medium. The use of clothing became harder to draw the model as I was unable to determine the body structure of the model and I feel like I made the model too short for the dress. However, it made me draw quicker to the point I was adding composition to tell a story. For improvements, I would work on facial detail and add shading to the model.

Using Marker (Fine Nip)

I have fit most of the frames in one page which was my initial aim. I had trouble with keeping the position and posture of the model since I only had 30 seconds to draw. I want to improve on my speed and posture of the drawing so the model does not look distorted.

Using Marker (Fine Nip)

I made a line so the model  does not look too tall or too small.  Using a marker was very easy to use on this drawing but in my opinion, it got messy especially with the amount of time were available which was 30 second for each figure drawn. Similar to the other marker drawing, I want to work on speed and posture of the model.

Using Marker and Water Colour

A massive improvement on my last water colour drawing. On the first drawing, I wanted to test if I can add more than two colours however, did not turn out good. The second attempt was more better but I made her torso too big. What I do like in this drawing is how I draw the face on the second figure. All in all for improvements, I want to work more on water colours.

Using Charcoal (Conte A and 2B)

The use of charcoal helped since I can add shading to the drawing, making it look more realistic. There are some drawing that I feel are too big or small but I realise that people have different shapes and sizes such as longer eye brows and big eyes or small eyes and big noses.

Using Charcoal (Conte A and 2B)

Using charcoal, I was able to blend a lighter half tone so the drawing looks more 3 dimensional. What I should have done is remove the structure lines so the drawing is more clean and also, work more detail on the neck bone. I would like to continue improving on drawing details of the skull.

Using Charcoal (Conte A and 2B)

This is my second time drawing a portrait and it turn out better than I expected. I feel like I made both the nose and lips too big but, other than that I think I've improved dramatically. The shading of the face got easier thanks to the charcoal. For further improvements, work more on not making the nose and lips too big and work more on hair and using structure lines.
